About Project: Swastha Saans Nepal

Project Swastha Saans Nepal (Healthy Lungs Nepal) is the National Health Action Force Nepal's flagship chronic respiratory disease program, launched in December 2025 in strategic partnership with the Global Allergy & Airways Patient Platform (GAAPP).

The program follows a three-phase model. Phase 1 delivered free integrated respiratory care to 308 patients in Rolpa District, confirming a 70% obstructive disease burden and achieving 92% post-training inhaler accuracy. Phase 2 scales this impact nationwide through 25 trained Lung Health Champions conducting community outreach sessions across all seven provinces. Phase 3 translates this evidence into national policy, advocating for Nepal's first National COPD Strategy .

The project is currently 45% complete and ongoing.
